    • If you love the other “Construction Site” books, you’ll love this one, too. The story walks through each of the favorite vehicles as they build a new fire station, emphasizing their tireless dedication to finish the task (which is a great lesson). Along the way, each vehicle receives a gift, such as the bulldozer getting a new carbon steel blade. Each vehicle has four pages of text, with the final line wishing the vehicle a Merry Christmas: “Merry Christmas, Excavator. Goodnight.” Each spread has anywhere from one to three sentences. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful snowy scenes and plenty of small details. The rhyme scheme is great and flows nicely, and the story line is fantastic as well. It’s the perfect Christmas story, especially for the nights leading up to (and the night before) Christmas, as there are references to Christmas Eve several times. Overall, I can’t wait to introduce this book to my kids!
    • Great addition to the series! I love the art and my son loves the cadence and rhyming. And this one has the added bonus of showing the joy of doing nice things for others. My only complaint is that the other books in the series have some trucks that use female pronouns, which I love (this one does not).
    • This book is absolutely adorable!
    • My sons favorite book is Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction site, so when I found this book I thought it would be perfect for Christmas!! Such a cute book!
    • Oh my goodness, this one is going to be a classic - just like the original! The illustrations and rhythmic text are just as great as the original, but whereas the original is a more simple book about working hard and going to sleep, this one has more of a storyline in that all the construction vehicles are building a new home for the fire engines - How cute is that?! Truly, this should be part of your home collection. I bought it for my kids even though they're older now - they're 6 and 8 and I know they'll still be THRILLED when the "book fairy" leaves this in their bedroom one night this in December.
